Susan Brash

After 34 years in escrow I was recently laid off from my job as escrow officer/manager.  At the time it seemed like a disaster, but for the 1st time in my life I didn't have to face getting up and going to work.  I thought, I could do this for a little while.  Thankfully I had a little money saved and was able stay home for a little while.  I was a single mother and was never able to stay home with my daughter.  Well now I am playing at being a stay at home grandmother to my 3 1/2 year grandson.   We have been having lots of fun going to the park, Kidspace, the zoo, Natural History Museum, LACMA, and most importantly, Disneyland.  But alas, he really needs to go to pre-school, so I am working on getting him ready for that, which means I am going back to work.

I am definitely having mixed feelings about going back to work.  Now mind you, I love escrow.  It has never been boring, and I love helping buyer and sellers buy and sell their properties.  Ideally it would be nice to stay home in morning with my grandson and go back to work in afternoon.  I do miss talking to adults.  I miss my clients and my buyers and seller.  I am making plans to go back to work.  So for all of you who have been wondering what happened to me, I will let you know when and where I will be.  I WILL BE BACK.  I PROMISE.

To Posterous, Love Metalab
